Atenas, Grecia and Santa Ana, Costa Rica

These three towns are located in the Central Valley which is the heart of Costa Rica. It is widely-known for its year-round spring-like climate and its farms which produce an abundance of delicious foods. Because of Costa Rica’s large highly-educated workforce, many major world corporations have facilities there in the larger towns. The resulting high wages and salaries have led to high demand for high end real estate and consumer products which have driven the cost of living up in medium and large towns. GOOD-NEWS. The lower cost of living in smaller towns like Atenas and Grecia makes them affordable for expat retirees. Santa Ana is more highly developed than Atenas and Grecia, thus the cost of living there is higher. Each of these three towns is safe, clean and affordable.
